AWWA Assistive Technology Assessment Centre
AWWA Assistive Technology Assessment Centre (ATAC) provides assessments, assistive technology trials, funding assistance, and training to support persons with disabilities in achieving greater independence and participation in daily life.
The centre supports individuals across different life stages to identify suitable assistive technology solutions. Our multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals work closely with clients, families, and community partners (hospitals, schools) to recommend personalised solutions, facilitate access to funding schemes, and provide training for effective device use.
Our Services
Comprehensive Assessment
Conduct person-centered assessments to understand functional needs to identify suitable assistive technology solutions/devices to enhance participation and independence
Device Trial & Recommendation
Provide trial and access to assistive technology and make recommendations based on individual needs.
Funding Assistance
Facilitate access to funding schemes and assist with relevant application processes.
Training & Implementation
Equip clients, caregivers, and support them with the confidence, knowledge and skills to use assistive technology effectively.
