“Hi, my name is Wendy Weng. I am a Club Facilitator at AWWA Dementia Day Care Centre. In simpler terms, I am the guardian of the clients at the centre. I assist them with their Activities of Daily Living and engage them in activities to keep them active. Even though they are seniors with dementia, they feel empowered when participating in the activities.

What I really treasure are moments where they reminisce their past and share precious memories with me. It taught me to appreciate and value the present, and most importantly to develop a deep sense of empathy towards people – be it at work or at home.”
