“I began my volunteering journey with AWWA 7 years ago when I was just 12 years old. Volunteering keeps me happy, and the fact that I’m doing it with my friends makes it a more enjoyable experience. One of the most memorable events in my journey is the Family Service Centre Annual Gathering. It is very meaningful as you can see all the families coming together. Many families do not have the opportunity to spend time together but with these initiatives, families get to bond together. I get to interact with the families and lend a listening ear. When you volunteer, you learn from the people and they learn from you too. It is joyful for me to see that I can make a difference in the lives of others. This is my motivation to volunteer and it is also why I would encourage my friends to join me in giving back to society.”
