The article highlighted the story of a couple – Mr Mohd Hazrin Hashim and Ms Rozilina Rohaizad – who both works at AWWA, driven by the desire to help students with special needs. Ms Rozilina, who has been with AWWA for seven years, started teaching in 2010. She shared that the desire to teach in a Sped school sparked when she realized she was not equipped with the skills to support students with special needs while teaching in a regular school. Similarly, Mr Hazrin also took the opportunity to teach in AWWA when the opportunity arose. The couple said they found it more fulfilling to be an educator at the Sped school and to be able to see the changes and development of students with special needs. The desire to give back to the community drives them and they are happy to be able to do so through something they are passionate about, which in this case is teaching.
