Following the Ministry of Social and Family Development’s announcement of a S$15 million investment to accelerate AI adoption across the social service sector, AWWA leadership were featured across national media, sharing how innovation and technology can strengthen care while keeping people at the heart of what we do.

• • The Straits Times – MSF to spend $15m on new tech solutions like using AI to analyse at-risk families
    AWWA CEO J.R. Karthikeyan shared how AWWA has been embedding innovation across the organisation through our annual innovation initiatives. AWWA Home staff, Arthur Lee and Luqman Bin Mohd Rifqi were also featured and shared how their AI-powered initiative helps staff access standard operating procedures more quickly, enabling safer and more efficient care.

    Bruce Liew, AWWA’s Senior Director, Disability & Inclusion, shared how technology can enhance service delivery while preserving the human connection that remains central to quality care.
  • Channel 5 News & 8world – AI and Partnerships to Strengthen Social Services
    Ng Lee Lee, AWWA’s Director, Disability & Inclusion, spoke about the importance of stronger partnerships between social service agencies and technology partners in delivering safer, more responsive support for persons with disabilities. The programme also featured AWWA Home’s use of AI, showcasing a staff-developed facial recognition system that identifies residents with more than 90% accuracy to support day-to-day care.
