Keith – a jovial 8-year-old – enjoys going to school. He looks forward to meeting his friends and joining in the class activities. Having spent the last three years in AWWA’s early intervention programme, Keith is now enjoying his time learning at AWWA School @ Bedok.

Like most children these days, Keith is technologically savvy. As part of his daily lessons, he engages in various digital activities through the use of interactive areas in his school like the iCube room and digital art room.

Keith’s parents are very happy to see improvements in him. They shared that they are lucky to have family members who have been very understanding and provide constant support in caring for Keith. However, they realise that others might not be as fortunate and that the community can play a bigger role in showing their support.

It is their greatest hope that one day, Keith will be equipped with the necessary life and social skills so that he can be independent when he grows up. They look forward to a time when society can be fully inclusive, involving persons with disabilities in all aspects of life.
