Yam is a resilient young adult with an aspiration to work in the healthcare industry. Despite facing many personal struggles in school and work, Ms Yam battled bravely and worked hard to overcome them, with her eyes fixated on her goal. Ms Yam also attended counselling sessions and made plans for her education and vocational needs.

She acknowledges the fact that studying while working part-time is an onerous undertaking. Without hesitation, she embarked on this adventure in 2021 and successfully completed her training in Phlebotomy. Even though Ms Yam secured a full-time position at a hospital as a health care assistant, she is not stopping here. She continues to strive for self-improvement and hopes to further study for a Diploma in Biomedical Science.
