“I was born with Cerebral Palsy. Due to a lack of oxygen to my brain, part of my brain that controls my limbs are affected. Growing up was challenging because there were many things that I couldn’t do independently. Despite these challenges, I learnt to overcome and be victorious in life. I started to believe that I have a hope and future.
I learnt to realise there are strengths in me that I can contribute- connecting with people and bringing joy to people around me. I started to accept myself and love myself, including the weaknesses in my life, knowing that the challenges that I face can be turned around to encourage others. I am not just a receiver of help, there are many other ways that I can give as well!”
