Unsure of the future, Susan, a victim of domestic violence, made the difficult decision to walk out of her abusive marriage in 2014. Faced with the heavy responsibility of raising two children single-handedly, she was determined to rebuild her life and give her children a better tomorrow.

Through counselling, encouragement and guidance from AWWA Family Service Centre (FSC), Susan found the strength to be independent and was enabled to take on life’s challenges fearlessly. She now pays it forward as an AWWA FSC volunteer and ambassador.

AWWA FSC empowers and supports families like Susan’s to be resilient in overcoming challenges as a family and to give back by helping other families in the community.
