IT’S YOUTH DAY TODAY! Let’s meet Ryan, a youth advocate for persons with additional needs, and our client at AWWA Community Integration Service.
“In my secondary school days, I felt left out by my peers, and sometimes taken advantage of for my kindness. It made me felt like me being on a wheelchair is a hindrance, but in the recent years, I have accepted that my wheelchair is a part of me, and I have learnt to take this wheelchair as an extension of my body!
I have been very passionate about raising awareness for persons with additional needs. Just like every able-bodied person, I would love to achieve full independence one day. My lifelong passion for the automotive industry has fueled my interest to take my driving license soon. It will be a long process, but I look forward to trips up north with a group of friends one day!”
