Karen is the Director of Corporate Services at AWWA, reporting to COO Selina. Leading AWWA’s Finance, Facilities and Governance and Risk Management teams, Karen seeks to drive operational excellence and strengthen governance.
A Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience in financial management, Karen has held senior leadership roles across the private and public sectors.
Before joining AWWA, Karen was Finance Director at the National Healthcare Group, where she led financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision making, optimise resource efficiency, and enhance financial governance across the Group. At Orange Valley Nursing Home, Karen served as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President (Human Resources). She spearheaded regulatory compliance and financial sustainability and played a pivotal role in expanding the Group’s network from two nursing homes to seven facilities within eight years. Her leadership in implementing an enterprise-wide resource planning system strengthened data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Accountancy, a Postgraduate Diploma in HR and Reward Management and is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA).
