AWWA to me is…“an organisation with a heart”.
Selina is AWWA’s Chief Operating Officer, reporting to CEO Karthik. Selina joined AWWA in February 2018 as Senior Director of Corporate Services and in her most recent position, works with the CEO to drive AWWA’s pursuit of excellence through efforts to achieve optimal efficiency, and effectiveness while upholding service quality and governance. Selina helms the full suite of AWWA’s Corporate Services, and with her direct guidance, led AWWA to achieve its second consecutive Charity Transparency Award in 2022 – an award that is given to agencies which are recognised for being well managed and having good disclosure practices.
Prior to joining AWWA, Selina cut her teeth and honed solid skills over three decades in the realms of Finance and Accounting. She previously held various senior management positions across industries in multinational companies in the Asia Pacific Region such as SAP where she was instrumental in leading the first Finance Shared Services Organisation in SAP worldwide. During her term of service, the Asia Pacific Finance Shared Services won four external awards with International Quality and Productivity Center, MIS Asia and Shared Services and Outsourcing Network. She also participated in the INSEAD-SAP Asia Pacific Regional Management Development Program during this period.
Selina holds a Bachelor of Accountancy and is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA). In recognition of decades of membership with ISCA, she was awarded the ISCA 30 Years Membership Milestone Badge.
Selina currently serves as Honorary Assistant Treasurer, and a member of the Singapore Disability Sports Council board.
